Kauai 2012: Part I

As I mentioned previously, our family had the wonderful opportunity of spending our Christmas holiday on the beautiful island of Kauai (our favorite Hawaiian Island). This trip was different than our previous trips to Kauai though...we just so happened to travel with 34 people! The whole Christensen clan traveled to Kauai to celebrate my in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful occasion filled with plenty of family, fun, sun and sand.  As per usual, I took MANY photos, so it will take me a few posts to get them all up.

Russell & Kate's Christmas Recital 2012

 

Russell and Kate had their fiddle recital this week with aunt Shelby. They were so cute performing their little solos. I think they were a little nervous, but I was so proud of them. Shelby, Grace, Grandpa Richard and I also performed a little Christmas fiddle tune to liven things up...This is our family band playing "Jingle Bell Hoedown" and then Kate playing "Silent Night", followed by Russell playing "Jingle Bells"...

We snapped a few family photos when everyone was together for Thanksgiving. I hate trying to get my own family photos...because they never turn out how I want them to...because trying to be in the photos and get your kids to cooperate, as well as getting the camera settings all figured out and handing the camera over to someone else...it is just too much. I guess I should just be grateful we got our family documented this year :)
