A perfect day. Family, friends, food, and fun. Relaxing, visiting, and playing together with some of our favorite people in the whole world. Our holiday was one to remember, and we spent it doing all of our traditional activities at grandma and grandpa's house.

Fourth of July 2011

I'm trying to backtrack and catch up on a few posts. The fourth is a holiday we look forward to every year. We always have a special day spent with family. This year was really hard because of Lisa's passing...we weren't sure if we were going to have our usual celebration or not. After a lot of thought, everyone decided that Lisa would be very angry with us if we didn't enjoy the day...she was always the life of the party, and loved to see everyone have a great day. It was comforting to spend the whole day with our loved ones, and to enjoy a family tradition...but Lisa wasn't far from our minds.

The kids had a great time riding (and giving rides) in the train...
