Lori Wiest

I just read your beautiful tribute to Lisa. I am crying with you and so sorry for your loss.

I just discovered your wonderful blog and Lisa's story. I am so saddened at this loss for your family. How wonderful to have had her in your life and the legacy she leaves to live on. May God heal all of your hearts and give you peace until you are all together again.

Sandi A. Dufern

Thank You Sherelle for sharing this story...It felt like a gripping novel tho a stark reality as tears covered my face. What an angel she was, certainly she has a special place in the golden palace. Heaven is made for people like her. The pie photo with her is brilliant. I have to tell you that your family has become my family as I have watched your incredible heart thru photos and stories you have shared. Never stop doing this,,,or be afraid not to share. We learn so much from you. Love is certainly around you and all those you love. The Lord is watching over you and making you useful in his hands. My sincere heartful sorries and blessings to you and your family as you heal and celebrate a beuatiful lady. One could only wish to receive a tribute as you gave Lisa. xo

Sherelle I am so sorry for your families loss. Your story is so sad. My heart was breaking as I read it. I've not checked in on your blog for awhile and just decided to this morning. I don't know why but I just felt like I needed to.
I'll be praying for your family.

Kim Woods

I read this story like I was there and tragically have had 2 years of tragic losses in my family and a close friend. Losing a mother of 3 to cancer when her baby is 3 months old, losing a 10 month old niece to a murderer, my dad--a year to the day of my niece because he was a broken hearted grandpa after she passed and then my grandma, his mother six months later. I saw that your grandfather had died as well recently. I think death is so extremely hard but when it comes in multiples it takes your breath away.

I hope you will receive the blessing of cherishing your children, your nieces and nephews, your family and friends through this very difficult time. That is the one thing I can say my trials taught me. Not matter how bad of a day I have at work those 3 kids make me forget it all in 1/2 a second!

Hugs to you all and I hope your healing comes in the time you need it to come. I have to say, the first year is the hardest and big awesome events like weddings and babies being born chip away at the feeling of despair.

God obviously has a big plan for Lisa to take her that way. I'm sure has something to do with communicating the dangers of walking in ditches! Who would have thought? Bless her sweet heart, it sounds like she lived a very good life and made a big impact. That is what we can all hope to leave behind when we have left the earth. much love and hugs from far away but oh so close.

Sherelle - I'm a regular reader, but haven't checked in for a while. I'm so very sorry to hear about your sister-in-law. You have written a beautiful tribute. Your family will be in my prayers.

While I didn't personally know Lisa, my mom did (Lucy Simmons) and she said that when she arrived at the viewing it was evident that everyone loved Lisa & her family. So many came to give love & support. Our prayers continue to go out to your family.

Your post was beautiful. What wonderful memories you will always have.

Words can not express or heal the pain you are feeling over the loss of such a wonderful woman in your life. Just know your blog post paid a beautiful tribute that touched many of us that were not fortunate enough to know your sister in law. God bless you and your wonderful family and I pray you get through these tough times with the wonderful memories you have of Lisa. Prayers from my little corner of the world, dalayney

Holly Costello

My heart just aches for you and your family after reading the kind words you wrote about your sister in law. I hope you know I am praying for you and I hope you find comfort in your family.

So sorry for your loss. Let the memories stay in your mind forever.
It's always hard to recover from a loss in the family, there will forever be a void in your lives.
It's so sad this has happened.

Sherelle, what a terrible tragedy. Words cannot express my sorrow for a beautiful, young life cut short. I admire the strength and courage it takes to write about Lisa - hopefully it is cathartic. I lived in Idaho (originally from CA-hopefully you don't hold that against me!) for 4 years (I miss ID A LOT), and reminisce about the time I spent there when I look at your blog. I remember Lisa like it was yesterday from when she worked at the Scrap Coop. I loved seeing and visiting with her. I was always admiring all of her cool wood work. She spoke proudly of her children and was the kind of person you instantly connect with. She was always smiling and such a bright light. I know that bright light will shine down on all of those whose lives she touched, and for all her family and friends who loved her so much. I extend my deepest sympathy to all of you.

What a lovely and moving tribute to Lisa. You write beautifully and I'm sure in the future you and your family will be look back on this tribute to her and be grateful that you captured so many of Lisa's wonderful qualities.

Wishing you and your family the best.

Julie Williams

Thanks so much for having the courage to write such a beautiful tribute!!! I hope that in a way it helped you to share with others the sorrow you felt inside and the wonderful life of such a loving person.I will continue to keep you and your family in my thoughts and hope that time is kind and will help to heal the hurt inside your heart. Say hello to your children for me and I look forward to your blog and some new pics of them, they are so darling!!

Kristan Martin

Sherelle, while words are so difficult to describe how amazing Lisa is, you did a remarkable job. Beautiful tribute. Lisa's love of learning and ability to do ANYTHING has always amazed me. I have admired her from afar ever since I met her at "The Coop". I'll always be grateful for the opportunity I had to get to know her a little bit. Know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sherelle... Ben just brought the paper to me about Lisa..and I was shocked! We both got teareyed trying to imagine what happened. We are so sorry we missed the funeral. Lisa was an amazing person. We loved her sweet smile and happy attitude! She always made laugh. I am so sorry for your families loss. We love your family. All of them. Please know your family and lisa family are in our prayers. So random, I saw Sandy in the grocery store just before this happened and we started talking about my dads death last year and how hard it was.. And when I left I thought to myself.. How hard a death in your family would be.. As like mine.. You are all so close. My heart aches and please know.. It's okay to hurt and cry and keep crying.. It will get easier but things will never be the same and that's okay. Love you friend. I am here always.

I'm so sorry. Such a tragic loss to you and yours, and after reading your post, such a tragic loss to society as a whole. I have read your blog for years now. I feel so sad for you all xx

Their laughter and their wisdom,
their advice and thoughtfulness
are gifts of love that are ours to keep.
May the gifts Lisa gave you
help console you now
and fill your heart with memories
that will always comfort you.
I am so sorry for your loss.

What a wonderful tribute. I had been wondering why you hadn't been updating your blog. Assumed it was because you were busy with summer and the kids. Wish I had been right. SO sorry to hear about your loss. Many prayers for all of you. Lisa has obviously left a wonderful legacy. Thank you for sharing her with all of us. Lori

What a blessing that you can write about her and share a bit of how much she meant to you. I hope it helps ease some of the pain.

I am so sorry for your loss. My Dad passed away suddenly in December so I do know what your family must be going through. It is defintely a surreal feeling. There are days where I still can't believe that he is gone. Just picturing him happy and healthy, it has been hard to accept and understand. But it is true what they say, you really do have to focus on the all the good memories and it truly does lessen the pain. Your sister in law sounds like a wonderful person to have known and it sounds like you have some pretty amazing stories to remember her by. Again, I am so sorry for your families loss. What a tragic, tragic loss!! My prayers are with you!

I am so sorry. Reading this brought tears to my eyes. All of you are in my prayers.

Sherelle, Your family is still in my prayers, that God will comfort you, your husband, children, in laws and her dear husband and children. I am sure this was also hard to share, I can't even imagine.I pray you all will heal in time, surely never to forget her beautiful soul God blessed you with. Take care.
