Grandma Coral Steffler was such a sweet grandmother...I only knew her for about 8 years (since when David and I met), but I know that she was very special to me, as well as to my husband and my children. David has sweet memories of many outdoor outings with grandma, and special sleepovers at her house. He also remembers all of the fun family get togethers at her house...especially on Christmas Eve. The kids remember going to grandma's house for Halloween every year...and playing with the magnets on her fridge. They also loved tormenting her cat and getting into her toy drawer. They loved playing in the church tennis court next to her house and getting treats from grandma. Lily always tells me how cute grandma Coral was. Grace and Russell remember all of our trips to visit her at the nursing home, and Grace especially remembers playing fiddle music for her. She and her cousins loved to go and play fiddle tunes for grandma and the other people in the home. I remember taking dinner to grandma when she still lived at home...I would usually take dinner over to her one night every other week...and she was always so sweet. I also remember how excited my kids would get when we would ride our bikes or the four wheeler over to visit her. I will especially remember Lily and Kate singing "You Are My Sunshine" to her when we would visit her in the nursing home. She was always such a tease...we will never forget our trip to Guemas Island when she was really in the mood to joke. She was just the sweetest grandmother, and we are all going to miss her dearly. We were so blessed to have her in our lives.
I just love this photo of David and his grandma...
That's beautiful - you take such amazing pictures!

What a sweet dedication to Grandma Coral. How wonderful for her to know the real love that only family can bring. I would give a million dollars to have my Grandfather back for a day just so he could meet my children. He was an absolute legend in our life as I'm sure Grandma Coral was in yours. Thinking about your family and saying a special prayer for you all.

Sherelle,
I just realized I posted a photography question on a sensitive and lovely post about your Grandma Coral. Sorry if it sounded insensitive. I can tell by your pictures she was a very special woman.

Hi Sherelle,
I'm a follower and have always admired your photography skills. I got a Nikon D60 for Christmas so I'm trying to learn how to use it. Did you take photography courses? How did you learn to take such great photos?

Thanks for the pictures Sherelle. I'm so sad that I can't be there for Mom's funeral but I know she now can see Australia with me now. She was excited for our family to come down here. We will miss her so much. She was the best Mom and Grandmother and we loved her with all our hearts.
Thanks again Sherelle.

I don't know how do you say in English, but "je vous présente toutes mes condoléances" (and God bless her)
