Phew! Harvest officially wrapped up today! We finished digging 670 acres of potatoes in 11 days of hard work. I can honestly say that for our little farming operation, this seemed to be one of the smoothest harvests yet. We dug quick with few breakdowns, and the weather was amazing. Of course, none of it would be possible without my hubby and his help who meticulously go through each and every piece of equipment before harvest...or without the help of our amazing family and friends who drive tractors, trucks, and help with the whole process. I am so thankful for all of their hard work and help. I always feel tired and relieved the whole process is over, but at the same time, my heart feels full to see the huge task that we have all just accomplished together, and to see the accumulation of all of David and Barry's hard work throughout the year.
I love when the girls run to greet their daddy...
or greet granny...

I love the smell of fresh plowed dirt. It brings back memories of my youth, working the the spud fields every harvest.

That is such a neat process to watch how it's all done, I know it's hard work but I think it would be neat to be a part of all that, I love your area of the world and would love to visit Idaho sometime!!!
