Baking fresh bread. We bought a bunch of flax seed, millet & rye for our food storage, and so I put a mixture of the three, along with wheat in my mill, and ground them all together. It made the most delicious bread!
The Pussy Willows are now brightly colored and in full bloom...it's only a matter of days until they are swarming with millions of bees...
Morning Chores. Actually, I had them doing other chores, but when Kate saw me scrubbing the grout lines in the kitchen, she thought it looked like fun...
Soon, Lily joined in, and eventually, they older two. They had the grout clean in no time!
We've been spending a lot of time outside in the beautiful spring weather...
The kids like to take their barn and farm animals outside to play...
Even though there are two swings on the swingset, Lily and Kate always fight over who gets the one particular swing. After a long argument, and plenty of whining, they finally decided that they could both swing on it together...
Trucks have been busy hauling grain to the mill...
our wild turkeys have starting laying eggs and nesting...the kids are watching the nests every day to see the egg numbers rising. Grandpa Barry informed the kids that their turkeys had a nest they didn't know about. One female has been sitting on her eggs that she laid in back of one of the farm trucks!
Our new tractors have been arriving. We've gone GREEN again. David found the technology that RED tractors don't offer yet...
We got a couple of new ducks. A pesky skunk devoured our flock last year, and Grace has been heart broken ever since.
June is obsessed with the ducks...she can't stand herself when the ducks are out.
Farming Season has officially begun. David has been busy planting spring wheat and marking rows for our potato crops. Shelby, the kids and I even went to the field for a picnic...
AND...we sent off our registration for the National Fiddle Contest!!! I have three entrants this year! Grace, Russ & Kate all plan on entering!!! We're so excited!

Thanks Teri!

Love all the photos, but I have to confess I'm a nerd when it comes to fonts, so I was most thrilled with your amazing handwriting on the envelope. ;-)
