She is just dying to be a part of it. She WANTS to be a part of the music that the rest of the family loves so much! At the fiddle contest this past weekend, our little family band performed a couple of numbers and she sat up with daddy and grandma in the audience and sang out loud every word...and she knew all the songs. She said "mommy, I want to be a part of the band". She's working hard to learn her first tunes on the violin, and because she wants to play the mandolin soooo bad, I promised her that if she can play her whole song perfect on the fiddle, she can try out the mandolin too. Grace is learning chords on the guitar, so she can accompany Kate and her little tunes. They are so adorable...it make my heart melt! She even had her very first group lesson with her aunt Shelby (her teacher) and her other students this week. She was so excited...it made me laugh. She was worried because she only knows two songs. I told her it was okay because she could just play the open string on the other songs and try to get the beat. Aunt Shelby said she played every song on the open string perfectly in rythym, even though she didn't know the tunes!!!
