David and I both grew up with a love and appreciation for the outdoors. Whenever life gets a little hectic or overwhelming, we love to escape it all and head up to the hills behind our house. David's uncle is a rancher and owns most of the property in these mountains, so we love to go there for a ride and a picnic. We built a fire and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows, and the kids had a great time playing in the creek...
I love the view of our valley below...all of the beautiful farm ground...
after plenty of hot dogs, smores, dirt and water...the kids get pretty dirty...

These photos are GREAT! They really make me want to take my kiddies up to the mountains to play. :) I loved that kind of stuff growing up. Fishing, camping, exploring, and getting good and dirty.
LOVE your blog!!!

This post made me tear up a bit. I've been missing Idaho, it's simple beauty, and lovely people. I hope that someday we will be able to move back and enjoy those lovely hills again! I hope that I can give my children those types of experiences and teach them the joy of the outdoors! As for now, we try to enjoy each place God leads us...
