We've got a lot of animals around here, and the kids continue to name each and every one of them. I don't know how they can come up with (and remember) so many names. I do have to hand it to Lily though...she is the most creative name-giver in our family. I think she gets if from my little sister, Tawsha, who had a bunny named "Lotion" when we were growing up. LOL! Lily always has unique names. Her new bunny is named Fluffy Ball Orange Blossom (thats a mouth full). Her kitten is named Cowgirl. She has an older cat named Whitey Girl, and by far, there is always a chicken or two with the name Sparkles (that is her name of choice, be it a doll, a toy or an animal...Sparkles is a well used moniker). Oh, and we can't forget Kylie. I have a friend with a daughter named Kylie, and Lily is obsessed with her (and her beautiful blonde hair), so Kylie is also a highly used name around here. I just laugh. I can't keep up with all the names, but the kids never forget.
Here is Lily and Cowgirl in action...
I just love how Cowgirl is looking at Lily and following her in this photo...
and since this is a kitten-related post, I have to share these cute pics of the kittens looking out of their "box" in the chicken coop. They are usually snuggled up in the box sleeping, and when they hear the kids come into the coop they get all excited and peek out the hole (David had to make a special entrance for the cats, because the chickens always want to lay on them).
I love this one...they're all fighting over who gets to peek out the hole...check out the black one whining in the background. It looks strangely familiar to my kids..."No, it's my turn!"

Your kittens are so cute! Love your pics!

Great minds think alike . . . our parents let us name our dog Sparkles when I was five and my sister was three. Our top name choices were Sparkles or Twinkles, but Sparkles won out.

As a fellow cat person - loved the pictures of the cute kittens. We have five cats (no I don't live on a farm) and I would not trade them for anything, well at least most of the time.

So cute! My littlest wants a cat but my husband is not a fan. I showed him these pictures and he said "I wish we had a kitty cat but daddy is allergic."
