has been been one of the fastest weeks on record. I don't know why, but it's just flown by. Unfortunately, the end of the week has brought two sick kids. Lily and Russell are battling the flu, and I am hoping that they get feeling better soon. Lily hasn't eaten much in three days...and she is withering away. Russell just mopes around and sleeps most of the day. I hope that spring can whisk away all of the sickness soon. Here are a few photos to highlight our week...
Fluffy Willows. I know...they aren't technically called fluffy willows, but that is Kate's term, and it has caught on at our house. We all call them Fluffy Willows. They are the first thing to bloom every spring in our yard. They are so beautiful...
another sign of spring...
Baking (homemade bread and Strawberry Cream Cheese Rolls...I will try to post the recipe soon)...
I finished up some sewing projects that have been sitting around for ages. I keep seeing new fabric that I would love to order (have to do it all online now that the Quilt Shoppe went out of business...I miss that place). But I've told myself nothing new until I finish up all the projects sitting on the backburner.
fresh veggies from the greenhouse...
the kittens eyes are open...and they get love and attention every day. I am so grateful that mother cat is so patient and kind, even when my kids man-handle her tiny babies...
The ladies have been happy...it's warm enough for the coop doors to stay open during the days, and they got a fresh bale of straw today...
Of course, there is always something to be done in the greenhouse...
getting some fresh air (weather permitting...it snowed Saturday)
and of course, my poor sick kids...I hope this doesn't hang on much longer...

i miss Amy's shop too! hope your family gets feelin' better...

Oh! I didn't know the pussy willows were blooming! I love the orange sunbonnet girl! Is it going to be a quilt? And I'm so jealous you have tomatoes! There is nothing better than a vine ripened tomato!!!
