5th Avenue...

I wanted to share my new collection I created for Melissa Frances...5th Avenue. The products will officially be for sale tomorrow at CHA, so I can finally share what I've been so busy working on over the past several months. Melissa had a beautiful necklace in greens and aquas and she said she wanted something in that color pallete with elegance and beauty...and from there, it became 5th Avenue...

and *GASP* I actually created a layout and card using my new stuff...

Winter Morning...

 I braved the 8 degree temperatures this morning because the fog last night lead to a beautiful coating of frost this morning. Add the gorgeous frost with a good dose of sunshine, and it was a perfect morning for taking photos. We found four hawks in the tree who were willing to pose for a few shots...they didn't seem to mind too much that I was there...this first one was even stretching his feathers and giving me some great poses...

Winter Fun & More Wildlife...

Check out our Christensen Family Snow Coach. We bought this Ranger about five years ago when David won a four-wheeler at the local tire store...and we already had a four wheeler, so we traded it in on a Ranger (something that the whole family could fit in). It was one of the best investments we have ever made. We use the Ranger all the time...wether it is running around on the farm, riding in the hills, hunting, camping...we have certainly gotten a  lot of use out of it. We had four kids when we bought the Ranger, but they were all little. Now that they are growing we have a hard time fitting everyone in the cab when we go riding in the winter. It's quite cold in the back, but Grace and Russ are usually really tough and they bundle up for a ride. David came up with the grand idea to build a cab for the back of the Ranger so that the kids could see everything in the hills, but not get quite so cold. He spent a few afternoons in the shop fabricating with metal and plexi-glass and this is what he came up with...

the kids LOVE riding in their new snow coatch :) Dad even put an old bus seat in the back so that they have a nice seat to ride on.

The wildlife is still in full force around here. I can't remember a year when I have had so many opportunities to photograph animals...so here are a few more shots...

 

We have even had a lot of elk this year...

the deer are still frequenting my garden...
