We spent the weekend in one of our favorite places on earth. Camping, laughing and playing with our family. I can think of very few things in life that bring me more pleasure :)
Things I will never forget: Gavin catching sharks, Kaylynn cleaning her bumper with diaper wipes, Russ and Carson snipe hunting, Kaylynn floating away in the river while Lisa yells "you're screwed", watching my son thread worms onto a hook and fish all by himself, Kate hanging off her buddy Landry (and quite often, Todd), having to yell at Lily for mauling Ashley's new puppy Harley, Paul's spackling job, my girls needing to use the bathroom 30 times a day (just because it's cool to go outside), grandpa's pickup loaded to the hilt with tubes and bodies ready to float the river, cousins laughing and swimming all day long, delicious campfire food, Lindsey trying not to ask dumb questions, the Fucowi tribe, mountain lions across the river and Grace getting "too hot" by the fire and moving next to mom, nightime baths in the river, spending time with some of the funest people I know :)
tin foil dinners...
that poor dog...somebody just can't keep their hands off of her...
gavin fishing for sharks...
roasting starbursts...
breakfast over the campfire...
floating the river...
a yearly tradition... as strange as it may seem...
painting rocks...and each other...

How much fun! Grace was telling me about it one our way to Achievement days.
