I never get tired of your posts about your garden and farm. I love the pictures too. I am so jealous of your lifestyle. I would love to be able to send the kids out in the evening to pick veggies from our garden. Thanks for sharing.

Wow i love your posts about your garden, makes me so jealous that i don't live in the country to be able to have such a big garden. Would you be able to post the recipie for your homemade salsa, i am always looking for a good one. Thanks

We had a do or die here Tuesday and Wednesday, too....so fun to have it all right in front of our face - all at once. Makes you feel even better about your hard work.

It's me again... :-))

about your tomatoes, this is another idea for you (I make it every year) :
with your cherry tomatoes (cut in a half) you can make dried or semi dried tomatoes in olive oil

I pu the recipe (in English) in my blog a few days ago :

I'm sooo mad that I didn't think to bring the whole tomato plants inside to finish ripening. I remember my grandma doing that, and I had forgotten. It already froze here this year, SOOO maybe next year!

I love your garden photos....I have garden envy! I would love to know the types of trees and produce you plant, i never have success with gardening and I didn't know you could save zinnea seeds.

Hi Dawn! Just pull up the entire tomato plant (root and all) and hang in upside indoors where it won't freeze (we have a heated shop where I hang mine). The tomatoes should ripen within a week or two, and they will have delicious flavor because they are vine rippened. You can use them without loosing them to the cold. I also put a box under mine to catch any falling tomatoes or debris that might fall off the plant (this helps with the mess).

Sherelle, I don't ever get tired of your gardening photos! What did you mean when you said you hung your tomato plants inside???? We still have 20 or 30 tomatoes on our plants that are not ripe and I'm sad to think that we'll just lose them. Would love to know if there is a way to save them!

I love these posts; it's a totally foreign world to me!! I cannot believe all that you get done in a days' time - and how much you do with all that food! :)

Lettie

How do you get your peppers to look so nice.

Kristi

oh, I wish I knew that you could just pick the tomato plant, and let them ripen on it inside- I just picked all my tomatoes off yesterday and today, and none of them are ripe yet! oh well, next year!

Linda

Nope, I'll never be sick of the garden pics. I love seeing how you do everything.

Colette

It all looks so good. What an impressive harvest you have!! I'm not ready for the weather to change I've loved having it warmer lately, especially for ballgames. At least the rain gave you a break to catch up on the things you need to do.

Dayami

I actually love your posts about gardening. I wish I had a farm, I'd probably be like you, I just really love the country life. My beautiful family and I live in Miami but I know someday I will have a little house with a farm some place up north.
Hugs :)

Wow, that is a lot of tomatoes. Do you ever have any problems with little blue bugs on your pumpkins? I am new to growing them and the blue bugs always appear. Love how you have great kitchen gadgets (dehydrator, apple thing?)!
