Yes...thats right...two recipes in a row! This is the bread that I make every Monday. We LOVE homemade bread, and let's just face it, it tastes better, and it is better for you. This recipe makes four loaves. We love to use this bread to make panini sandwiches (YUMM!) and french toast. We also eat it with butter and homemade strawberry jam. I also grind my own whole wheat...it makes it that much fresher, and that much yummier!
Sherelle's Honey Wheat Bread
-4 c. warm water -1/3 c. sugar -3/4 c. honey powder (You can also use honey, but the powder is much easier to work with) -1 Tbs. gluten -3 Tbs. yeast -3 tsp. salt -1/2 c oil (I use Canola) -6 c. white flour -5 1/2 c. freshly groud whole wheat Dissolve sugar and yeast in warm water. Add other ingredients. Mix well. Place in a large greased bowl. Cover with a towel and place in a warm place. Allow to rise 1 hour. Punch and knead. Divide into 4 greased bread pans and return to warm place. Allow to rise 30 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes (20-25 minutes if using a dark pan). Cool for about 10 minutes and then remove from pans onto a cooling rack. Grease the top of loaves with butter. I use the electric Bosch Nutrimill. I love the ease and simplicity of the electric mill, and I also love how clean it is. You just pour the wheat in the top and it fills the container below. It is a little pricey, but if you are invested in always making homemade bread, I think it is worth it. There are also a lot of other wheat grinders out there...some less expensive, and even hand grinders. I would recommend buying Hard Red Wheat for bread. You can buy it in the large buckets at Sam's and Costco. Grinding your own wheat is much more nutritious, and whole wheat berries also store a lot longer than flour.

This is just the post I needed. I am so loving your blog. It is so amazing to see how God brings me to the places I need to be...even in the blogging world. Blessings to you and your family.

Love the new look of your blog! And thank you for sharing your recipes! Am going to have to try the bread one next week with our five kids!
We've been making your vanilla cinnamon rolls on a weekly basis since we saw your recipe a month ago!
Your kids are adorable.....but how do you find time to do all that you do?!?!
Have a great weekend!

Alright Sherelle, you are making me look bad! Grinding your own wheat - seriously? Is there anything you can't do??! Do you have more hours in a day than I do? I only have one child and you can probably do all three of your girl's hair in the time that it takes me to do my daughter's! You put Martha Stewart to shame, and I'll be you're way nicer too! :)
BTW, love your blog, love your photos, love your recipes, love your potatoes, and even your smashed strawberries! Did you break the news to Kate yet?
