I've always had a love of old things...when I was in high school and college, I developed a love of the whole Shabby Chic thing, and it has stuck with me ever since. I have been having a lot of luck lately in my "treasure hunting". I've found some fun pieces to finally incorporate a little old with the new in my home. They've come from garage sales, antique stores and mostly thrift stores.
When I found this lamp, it was love at first sight! SO SHABBY...I had to have it. And the pink dishes...found them at a thrift store just the other day. They work perfect for storing jewelry...
I've also found a cute blue dish and some fun vintage pillow cases (to mix with the new ones)
And a cute table runner and figurine for my kitchen...
and this little salt and pepper shaker set...

Cute stuff! Makes me want to go treasure hunting!!!

That doll lamp is gorgeous. I didn't even know what Shabby Chic was until I found your blog. I'm a style loser. I do love the Shabby Chic though.

Great vintage finds! When I go to estate sales, the first thing I scope out are the pillow cases. They're the BEST! Already broken in and usually so soft. You can't find patterns like those anymore, either. They're great to mix and match.

I love that shabby, clean, crisp sort of country look too - you do an amazing job putting them all together! That lamp is just unreal! Lucky you to have found it! I also love the salt shakers, my sister has some old rooster ones like that from our grandmother she brought from Denmark... I got grandma's blue kitty cat shakers, go figure! LOL

Love the Lamp!!!! The room looks darling!!
I gave up shabby country a few years ago *gasp*.....I know.... It's hard to believe anyone wanting to give it up! I still LOVE the look but.....I think it all started when I started feeling sorry for my hubby having to live in all that frou frou. lol Lucky for him. Our home now has a more neutral feel to it.
Your home looks very lovely!!
